Well, the Bambrick's have hit the road again - we are heading out to Rancho California RV Resort - mostly because it is only 10 miles down the road from the Boy Scout camp where Garhett is staying...
This place is awesome... they have 592 luxury RV sites with full hookups. Calling them luxury is a gross understatement; we are talking level concrete pads with plush lawns surrounding each site. Each site here can be owned and those that are truely over the top with landscape/hardscape, BBQ's, gazebos, spas, you name it - these folks know how to *resort*. We are surrounded by the golf course, 5 swimming pools, 6 tennis courts, a fishing lake and 7 or 8 little lakes. This is the most opulent camping we have ever done.
Contrasting that with the camping that Garhett is doing at Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley - very rustic, platform tents, oh, and let's not forget the entry road that time forgot... 11 miles of a dirt road with ruts, pits, ditches, ravines and all sorts of obstacles to overcome. It took 45 minutes just to get down this ridiculous road - in my 4x4 Dodge!
All things considered, we are happy to be camping again as a family - we even have a family friend camping with us - Regan Lasch has joined us! Now, we look forward to 3 nights and 4 days of relaxation! Ahhhh...

I'm not sure how relaxing it will be with Regan along, but good luck with that. Did you say fishing lake? Hmm... We may have to check that place out with you next time.
