Teach tolerance...? Cross stomping and Prop 8.

This has me really, really upset~

I guess this is tolerance...

Like I posted before - where were the protests when the MAJORITY of voters were discriminated against by 4 liberal judges in Sacramento?

Were the 61% of the registered voters for prop 22 out in hoards, blocking streets, abusing people, shouting hateful things at gay people after their votes were overturned? NO

Was even a small percentage of those voters for prop 22 tearing down rainbow flags or burning rainbow flags? NO

Were predominantly gay establishements boycotted because they didn't vote for prop 22? NO

Were the backers that opposed prop 22 or even those that backed the No on 8 campaign harassed, blockaded or in any way disparaged? NO

So who exactly are the haters of this whole event?
Who exactly is INTOLERANT of different lifestyle choices?
Who exactly is violent?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Enough already. You lost, take your toys and go home now.

If my child acted half as badly as the No on 8 supporters, as a parent, I would take away more of that child's privilages until they learned some respect.

Why, oh why do gay people compare their suffering to that of blacks in America? Why? Gay, Lesbian and Transgendered people have NEVER suffered the attrocities that blacks have suffered (lynching, tarring, burning alive, denied the vote, slavery, just to name a few) they are not in the same class of sufferage as blacks. The people in the video say they should fight, that they aren't going to back down, just like the black people.

My heart aches to think of the sufferage and mistreatment of blacks thoughout history - the racism. NONE of that compares to the lifestyle of homosexuals in America. Stop diminishing the history of the black Americans accomplishments over racism (yeah, it has a long way to go). It isn't racism to deny the term "marriage" to a lifestyle choice.

...And then they stomp on the cross - the symbol of love and compassion (yes it was a torture device - but it represents the suffering of Jesus for each of them).

The really sad part is that none of those people seem to know that the man that is represented by that cross they stomped on and crushed - STILL LOVES THEM.

...even in their hate

...even in their desire for pride

...even though they curse His name

...even though they deny His Love

...even through all of this arguing and fighting

...whether they like it or not...

JESUS STILL LOVES THEM AND SO SHOULD WE!

Giving - a message; "Go and Give"

Today at church (www.revolution242.com) we were blessed with the best message on giving I have heard in a long, long time.

For those of you who missed it - here is the scripture that was covered:

Mark 12:41-44

Mar 12:41 And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums.
Mar 12:42 A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent.
Mar 12:43 Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury;
Mar 12:44 for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on."

2Corintians 8:13-15

2Co 8:13 For this is not for the ease of others and for your affliction, but by way of equality--
2Co 8:14 at this present time your abundance being a supply for their need, so that their abundance also may become a supply for your need, that there may be equality;
2Co 8:15 as it is written, "HE WHO gathered MUCH DID NOT HAVE TOO MUCH, AND HE WHO gathered LITTLE HAD NO LACK."

Acts 4:32

Act 4:32 And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.

2 Peter 1:20-21

2Pe 1:20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation,
2Pe 1:21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2Timothy 3:16-17

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
2Ti 3:17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Malachi 3:6-12

Mal 3:7 "From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the LORD of hosts. "But you say, 'How shall we return?'
Mal 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.
Mal 3:9 "You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!
Mal 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
Mal 3:11 "Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the LORD of hosts.
Mal 3:12 "All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land," says the LORD of hosts.

1John 3:16

1Jn 3:16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

John 3:16

Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Hebrews 11:1

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Hebrews 4:2

Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.

Hebrews 4:12 & 13

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Our Executive Pastor, Jim Plante did a great job of comparing the Old Testament concept of the Tithe to the New Testament concept of giving. It was a very fresh and challenging (convicting) message to hear. I hope all of you that took/will take him up on his challenge to try giving are blessed beyond what you give!

In Christ.

Circling the drain.....

The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) lost as much as 420 points or 4.4% with 30 minutes left in the session. The Standard & Poor’s 500 (SPX) index lost 4.3% and the Nasdaq composite (COMP) gave up 4.3%.

Well THAT should tell us all something about the confidence in our new President.

Fellow capitalists and entrepreneurs…. run for cover.
Obamanomics is here.

VICTORY!!!

Victory for the people of this great state. Victory against judicial misconduct. Victory for families and traditional values.
You won't see the main stream media covering this very much - This is a victory over that group as well.
The media last night kept referring to Prop 8 by the incorrectly re-named title, "Initiative to end gay marriage" - which really bugged me...
But when 5,220,694 people say they voted to "protect traditional marriage" I guess it really doesn't matter what you call it.
So, my guy didn't win the presidential bid - and we are going further in debt as a state with new high speed rail lines, and food costs are going to rise - but Prop 8 passed!
Here is how all the propositions came out: http://vote.sos.ca.gov/props/index.html
