Cars I have owned

I had a bad habit of leasing my cars. I felt that I needed a new car every 2 years. My wife cured me of that rather quickly.

These are the cars that I have owned.
You know about my first car... The Duster!

Honda Civic

Toyota Celica Supra

Buick Riviera (and people don't believe I'm Mexican)

Isuzu Rodeo

Volkswagen VW SuperBeetle

GMC 1500 Sierra
(mine was blue)

Saturn Sc2

Pontiac Firebird convertable

Chrysler Town & Country

GMC Safari

Dodge Intrepid

Dodge 2500 Quad cab

My favorite cars were the Duster & the Intrepid.

What cars have you owned? Which is your favorite?

1984 Toyota Landcruiser. My dream car. Alas, it was stolen last year.

Holy Cow Rick, A Buick Riviera! Wow That has Mexican with neon lights written all over it! What made you get this this car? We all need to hear your answer. Really!
I am glad you never traded you wife every 2 years...

You've made some serious upgrades since the Riviera! Although, the GMC Safari was definitely a backstep for you. Don't let that happen again. :)

Oh...and my first car was an '84 Ford Tempo with chrome luggage racks and some grey ghettosuede interior. I rocked Alanis Morissette cassette tapes as I carted my lame self to Junior college every day. It made the new Chevy Cavalier that succeeded it feel like pure heaven.

Man you've had a lot of cars. Here are the cars in order from my first car in high school. Nothing too exciting.

'75 Chevy Malibu
'86 Pontiac Grand Am
'90 Toyota Corolla LX
'93 Toyota Camry LE
'99 Toyota 4-Runner SR5

I don't really have a favorite. I have good memories with all of them.

...Well Norma, the Riviera was the most 'upscale car' I could afford at the time. I was in management at Xerox and needed to look 'executive'... it was a bad choice all around. That was real apparent after an IRS auditor (who was riding his bike on a freeway offramp) sideswiped me and ended up trying to sue me... I was at a stop light! It's a long story!

The white Celica in the photo is not a Supra. It's an 84-85 era Celica GT. You can tell by the black pop-up headlights and the lack of fender flares for the wider tires found on the Supra.

There was a nice intermediate model, the Celica GT-S, which poured the seats, wheels and fender flares of the Supra, into a less costly Celica GT.

I know this because I owned a GT-S for 12 years. Bought it as a dealer demo model when I was in college. Loved it to death and only parted with it when my second child was born.
