History of America's Financial Meltdown

This video appears very accurate. Having been an independant contractor to nearly every bank/lender that has gone out of business (IndyMac, Argent, Ameriquest, WAMU, American Home, Countrywide, Landsafe, Nationstar, FannieMae, FreddieMac and more) and being a real estate appraiser now for over 15 years and having worked for one of the main sub-prime lenders (Argent - I quit because I saw this coming and could not be a part of contributing to it) I find it interesting that the dem's blame the republicans - but it was the dem's under Bill Clinton that started this whole meltdown in 1995!

Before you flame me with comments... watch the video, and think on these things...

Ask yourselves which political party, over the past 10 days, has stood up for Main Street and which one has had to stand up for Wall Street due to the political support they rely on.

Ask yourselves why Chris Dodd & Barney Frank are SO EAGER to pass the Paulson package so we can “move on” to other subjects. Don’t look behind the curtain, says Barney, just do what I say.

No Dancing in Church....

I saw this on another website indicating this is the best argument against dancing in church... I agree!

"The renewed mind is the key!"

Renee's Mystery

These are my kids piano/bass teachers - the Fry girls.

They have a band called Renee's Mystery - they are fantastic. At one point I tried to get them for Revolution's Tapestry event a couple of years ago - I think they are FANTASTIC - give them a listen!

Let's push for another Tapestry event!

Eloquence...

I have heard over and over that Obama is an eloquent speaker and very engaging - I have disagreed from the start. I used to teach public speaking in the corporate world and one of the key things to avoid during public speaking is the use of "non-fluencies" such as, - ah, um, er, and, just, so ... the list goes on - but suffice it to say -

Mr. Obama is not an eloquent speaker - nearly every time he speaks his use of non-fluencies really detracts from his speaking.

I know this compilation by Letterman is funny - but at the same time, it is serious. You really can't say someone is a good speaker when they indeed are NOT.

Oh, and Mr. Letterman - you shouldn't begin the segment with "Ah, we're gonna show you..."

In case you were wondering...

I have been asked in the past why I didn't go to church during the late 70's - well, cuz these folks scared me...

Hurricanes and America

As I watched the news last night and as I read blogs about Gustav, Hanna, Ike and Josephine - I can't help but wonder why everyone seems so relieved when the hurricane is downgraded due to having hit land outside of the US.

There are people in the Gulf of Mexico, Cuba, Carribean Islands, Haiti and Africa that are far less capable of dealing with the destructive forces of the hurricanes and tropical storms than we in the US.... Shouldn't we feel worse? Shouldn't we 'take one for the world'?

Watch this and tell me what you think?

Giggle for the day

this is the funniest website on the planet....

And here is proof!

Don't worry - one of these two videos will indeed offend you...
